Pt Supported on Plasma-Chemical Titanium Nitride for Efficient Room-Temperature CO Oxidation

Catalysts of carbon monoxide oxidation were synthesized by deposition platinum on titanium nitride (TiN). Two substrates with an average particle size 18 and 36 nm obtained hydrogen reduction tetrachloride in a stream microwave plasma nitrogen. The surface the catalysts was studied X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). data us present work indicate presence oxynitride as transition layer between oxide. It found that CO rate 9 - 15 wt.% Pt loaded TiN is 120 times higher than black specific 30 m2/g. Increase reaction Pt/TiN compared to can be associated both increase concentration molecules adsorbed decrease activation energy reaction. are promising for use catalytic air purification systems.
